Behavior is a form of communication. Children use it more often than adults due to their limited language repertoire and skill (which is yet to be developed). For a child with limited speech, he relies entirely on behavior to convey his needs.
Thus, it is up to the adults to learn to observe and understand behavior so that we may be able to meet the children’s needs and teach them to communicate more effectively. In the long run, we can reduce socially unacceptable behaviors and increase self-regulation and social etiquette.
Children learn through play. Social groups provide a place for children to come together to improve their social interactions.
This Interact to Play program consist of 12 sessions, designed for children aged 3 to 7 years old to come together physically to play, interact and learn from one another.
