About Us

Mind Story is a child-first learning and support organisation dedicated to helping children with diverse learning needs develop the skills they need to thrive.

Founded by a team of educators who wanted to continue doing meaningful work for children when existing systems fell short, Mind Story grew from a shared commitment to care, dignity, and purposeful support.

We focus on understanding each child’s current abilities, identifying meaningful next steps, and designing support that is practical, respectful, and sustainable. We do not require children to be labelled before they can be helped, and we work closely with parents as partners in their child’s journey.

At Mind Story, we believe that progress happens when care is delivered with structure, patience, and intention — always guided by what is right for the child.

The Mind Story Learning Framework

Mind Story operates using a structured, skill-based framework that focuses on closing developmental gaps through principled, evidence-aligned practice.

Rather than relying solely on diagnostic categories, we assess children using developmental benchmarks to identify current skill levels and design targeted, achievable interventions. Parents are actively involved as partners, recognizing that progress extends beyond therapy sessions into daily life.

Our programs are delivered with careful attention to relational depth, stakeholders’ wellbeing and long-term sustainability – ensuring that outcomes are protected, not rushed.
